Luigis Pizza & Steak 306-13 St. N

What a completely different experience from the "other" Luigis. From the moment we stepped in the front door we were greeted and welcomed. Not only did our server seem to care about us, but other staff also would ask us how everything was as they passed by. It almost seemed they knew who we were because of all the attention we got, yet they did the same to everyone in the restaurant. I was impressed. This place must have a great manager that really cares about the customer. As we were paying our bill when leaving "M" commented on all the bank card terminals they had. The young man assisting us replied that their priority was to get the lunch crowd back to work on time. I was even more impressed. Just as an experiment I ordered the same thing I ordered on Feb. 9th Steak & spaghetti. Let me say this, compare the photos (as bad as they may be) and I don't need to say anything more. It was great. Thanks Luigis North.  "J"

Today's experience was awesome. I ordered liver and onions, which I know most people hate but I love it. It was so so good. The service was great today also. We were treated very well, everyone was friendly to us. Before we left we were chatting with the guy at the front, I think he was the manager, what a nice guy. I would say we had the opposite experience from our last visit to Luigi's. I guess it's hard to blog about an experience when liver and onions was ordered because most people don't know how to relate to it. My salad today was fresh and tasty, the veggies were pretty good. (plus as a bonus J gave me his mushrooms) and the liver and onions was some of the best I've had in Lethbridge. I was tempted to order pizza because its always good at Luigi's but I was happy with my choice and I will be back again very soon. Thanks again Luigi's.

  1. Looks to me like your steak is on the other side of your plate and you got a little more spaghetti to feed your face.

  3. The funny thing is that for people that say they know food...you order 'offle' or variety meat....I've been a chef for many years and if you decide....hmmm, I really fel like liver...shows exactly what kind of palate you have..... I've been to both restaurants and 90% of all places in Lethbridge, they both are good. In my simple opinion, get a real hobby.

    1. Looks like you should probably stick to your job in the kitchen and don't try teaching Grade Two spelling anytime soon. Your spelling is atrocious which clearly shows to the rest of us your level of intelligence. As far as I can see anywhere on this blog the nomads have never claimed to know food. They are giving their personal OPINION on their experience on that particular day. So maybe go back to grade school and learn to spell before you try to cook food for the public and then slam those who are eating it!
      Keep up the good reviews

  5. LMAO @ "Chef" Anonymous. Working as line cook at some chain restaurant does not constitute being a "chef". If you were a real chef, you would have the intelligence to realize your mistakes instead of posting a couple more times and making a complete @ss of yourself. You calling someone a moron = pot calling the kettle black. Just sayin.

P.S. offle - OFFAL, fel - FEEL, qorst - WORST. Put down the cooking sherry and look it up on the "interweb".

    1. Seriously, who even talks like that anymore? Oh ya, immature highschoolers. Being gay isn't a big deal anymore and really not offensive. Perhaps you should put on your big boy pants and work a little harder at being a smartass.

  7. Looks like the owners of the "other" Luigi's are not liking the good review this one received and their childish comments show it (it is them, their friends and their staff that post these negative comments). Oh well from what I've heard the last few weeks about the Mayor Magrath Luigi's, that about sums up their restaurant, classless and childish. I will be heading over to the north Luigi's for lunch or dinner and like I've been doing the last couple weeks I will be telling everyone to boycott Luigi's south for being a bunch of babies.

  8. I go to luigis 1-4 times per month and I have to say I was a little disappointed the last visit. I felt quite uncomfortable when the waiter lingered when he asked how our meal was, several times, and said I had a perfectly cooked medium steak, when it wasn't really. Salad was not as good either, for the extra 2 you pay. I am definitely going back, it's my favorite place,, but I will be requesting a specific waitress everytime now. As far as mayor margrath luigis goes, they can kiss it. We went last in Nov. 2011 and I ordered a beef dip. It was almost in edible and the waitress, and hostess, was a real bitch. The au juice (sic) was actually canned or powdered gravy and the chef not only served it as dipping, but spread the slimy goop all over the inside of the sandwich. When I mentioned it to the waitress she said that it was au juice.. PERIOD.. Are you high? I paid 25 bucks, during lunch service, for vomit on a plate. Thank you for that.
